RESISTÊNCIA ARMADA NO PARAGUAI: A LUTA CONTRA A DITADURA DE ALFREDO STROESSNER

Resumo: Baseado em uma política de cunho autoritário, o Paraguai de Stroessner foi precursor no que seria uma constante em outros governos militares, a sociedade vivendo em um permanente estado de sítio. Frente a esse contexto, surgiram agrupações armadas (guerrilhas), tendo como intuito tomar o poder das mãos de Stroessner. Apropriando-se do discurso anticomunista, o stronato sufocou qualquer oposição, conseguindo manter-se no poder durante longos anos.

Abstract: The Stroessner of Paraguay based on a policy of authoritarian nature was a forerunner in what would be a constant in other military governments, society living in a permanent state of siege. Against this context, armed groups have emerged (guerrillas), with the aim to take power from the hands of Stroessner. Appropriating the anti-Communist discourse, the stronato suffocated any opposition managing to remain in power for long years.
